Hi! My name is Kristen. I started my yoga journey over 20 years ago in Denver, Colorado. After moving to California, I found my peace and zen within my yoga community. I am always trying to raise my awareness toward enlightenment and peace through the practice of yoga. This is why I have started The Zen Den. I hope to continue the journey of enlightenment and yogic knowledge through the studio and its community.
I am a mom of two boys at Sutters Mill and love anything/everything outdoor related. Spending time with my family is a priority for me! Luckily I have a loving community to help me along in this journey, many of them who you may see leading a class or two!
Kayleigh’s experience with yoga has not always had a linear path. Although she was familiar with yoga and had taken various classes throughout the years prior, none of those experiences culminated into a practice for Kayleigh until she became pregnant with her second daughter. Upon reflection, Kayleigh feels that the grace and kindness she had to give her mind and body during this time allowed her to release her ego and experience yoga at its fullness. Kayleigh’s passion for yoga and the many resolves it has unearthed within her daily life motivated her to become a teacher. Kayleigh yoga is not a place to come and escape the chaos that is life, but to learn to sit in it, accept it, and allow the hard to change oneself. Kayleigh’s approach to yoga focuses on balancing a multitude of dichotomies; hard and soft, breathlessness and restfulness, movement and stillness. Prepare to move, sweat, breathe, and remember that laughter is always encouraged.
Sid began his practice of yoga in 2011 and was immediately drawn to yoga assisting training. In the years spent as a class assistant he expanded his understanding of the physical asana and had opportunities to connect other students and help them with their practices. In 2013, yoga led him down the path to go back to school to become a massage therapist with an interest in eastern philosophies and modalities. In 2015, he finally officially took the steps to become a yoga teacher. Sid draws inspiration for his practice and teachings from various lineages of yoga, martial arts, the 5 elements of TCM, and even pop culture.
Hi,
Here is my short bio.....
My name is Karl and I look forward to meeting you. I believe we are all called to love each other and to serve. Yoga teaching is a way for me to serve,
I love to share what I have learned and experienced with my yoga practice. And it has changed my life. To a place where I have never been happier. Yoga is a tool and when practiced helps us get back to our true nature. Moving from reaching out to find our happiness to looking internally where the peace, joy, and love that we all seek is waiting for us.
I love music and you never know what you might hear in class. Might even dance some. And I hope that in each class you will grow and learn something from me or from moving, sitting still, breathing, and letting go you will find something new and wonderful about yourself.
I am a husband, grandfather, father, drummer,
Shanti, shanti, shanti. Peace, Peace, Peace.
